About 75 years ago, the two late
brothers, Ali and Hossein Hamedanian were born in a
religious, noble, merchant family. Although they had
traditional education, like skillful industrial and
managerial experts and in accordance with the country's
machinery movement during the 1950's & 60's, they left
behind such a bright record that even the most pessimistic
people can not but praise them for their clever analysis of
commercial and industrial questions and solving the problems
rising between the employers and the employees.
It is undoubtedly a pride for a merchant who once ran a
small business to be able to prosper along with the great
industrial and economic changes at a time when fear and
uncertain conditions threatened the investors. It is
important to remember that the two late brothers, who
established and ran large factories such as Shahnaz textile
factory (now Bafnaz), wool industries,
Esfahan cement factory
and several other factories, did not achieve their success
easily. And when Ali finally passed away with his great
ideal unfulfilled, his brother, Hossein, while following his
path truthfully, was awakened and decided to establish a
spiritual foundation, too.
To do this, he founded "Hamedanian
Charity Foundation" (HCF) in 1965 and by
dedicating 1,500,000,000 Rials to charity and works of
public interest he revived the memory of this rich merchant
once again. By setting up this foundation, Hossein
Hamedanian put all his wealth and movable and real
properties and even his personal car and furniture at the
disposal of the Foundation. Then in 1971 he made some
amendments in the Foundation's constitution and made it
clear in his will that whatever benefits the Foundation
would make, should be included in the Foundation's capital.
Hossein Hamedanian's deed in creating this important charity
foundation was a model to be followed by other wealthy
people whose conscience's voice might awaken them so that
they would dedicate part of what God bestows them to works
of public interest and society's need, comfort and welfare.
